London Fashion Week: Kristian Aadnevik

Sunday 17th February 2013

Coming from a Fashion background, LFW excites me every season. Now working within the beauty industry, I look at fashion week from a completely different side. This season, one of my beauty clients, Smooch Cosmetics, teamed up with Elias Hove and designer Kristian Aadnevik.

We sponsored the make up for the show and my gosh, Elias did us proud! The 15 models looked completely beauty with a soft take on a smokey eye. They wore Smooch Liquid Eyeliner with Filthy Rich eye shadow. They had lush contoured cheekbones featuring Smooch Bronzed Bronzer.

The clothes were on another level. I had high expectations as I’ve loved his previous collections but this show exceeded my hopes! Featuring a dark, almost gothic colour scheme with rich looking velvet, leather, lace and sheer chiffon. Easily one of the most wearable collections I’ve ever seen.

Perfect Smokey Eye

A smokey eye is my failsafe night out make up. I love the combination of my blonde hair with a dark eye. I’ve put together a step-by-step guide to how I create my smokey eye and what products I use!

Step One: Prime

I start off with W7 Primer in camera ready, I always find this helps my eye make up to stay on for longer and look better.

Step Two: Define

I then used Smooch Liquid Eyeliner to draw a thick line across my upper lash line. I used Smooch Pencil Eyeliner to draw along my lower eyelid and to smudge the edges.

Step Three: Blend

Smooch Nocturnal Duo Eyeshadow was then used to emphasise my lids. Starting with the black at the outer corners and smudging a little white in the inner corner of both eyes.

Step Four: Finish

I finished off my eye with a mixture of two mascaras, Revlon Grow Luscious and Smooch Black Lash. The combination of the two made my lashes longer and darker.
